Sheep to the Slaughter
So, I've been thinking. I really don't like the way the whole "situation" was handled and that in and of itself is just as heartbreaking to me than the actual events that occurred. Instead of warning us about C's mental state the pastors would THANK US (on multiple occasions) for standing with C and for our friendship with her. I mean, we knew C hadn't been thinking too clearly (for the past year) and that she had a long road of healing and recovery ahead of her but apparently her mental state is much worse than we ever imagined. I feel that our "shepherds," just sat back while we walked blindly to the slaughter. And since then, not once has anyone called us to see how we're doing since this whole thing has happened. Kenny has said something to PR at least 3 times since this whole thing went down and well, now we just feel like we have to beg because we're not getting ANY response. The letter went out, they now know how severely wounded and desperate we are and still NOTHING. I'm officially done and am ready to move on. I need to get away from these people. I don't understand what they're thinking. Something is very very wrong when "everything else" gets in the way of connecting with your sheep. I mean, I know you have a lot on your plate and everything but come on. If YOU can't connect with us at least have one of the other 3 pairs of leaders you're investing in and raising up connect with us. What are they there for otherwise??? It's ridiculous and I've had it. We need to move on with a clean break and get a fresh start. It's way overdue.
